Classes will be held in the barn on Sundays once a month at 2pm until 3.30pm.
Circle themes will include elements of mentrual education, Mind, Body, Spirit practices, understanding emotions and managing life transition/experiences.
Community Circle for Woman and Girls.
As a Circle facilitator I love Circle, as a Woman I know Circle, and as a Sister among Sisters I truly believe in the power of Circle to hold our stories, support our hearts and transform our lives. So here’s one for my fellow Circle-loving women who are raising girls.
Circle, as a practice, has a deep and rich history that has been passed on through time and generations from the hearts of our ancestor to our hearts, here and now. Women who attend Circles know the power and magic they create.
We all know the feeling of sanctuary we can find when we come together with our sisters to sit and share without the pressures of being anything more than we are, as we happen to be, in that moment. While the world piles on the pressure, circle gives us the space to just put it all down for a while, examine, re-prospect, focus our lens, and figure out our own approaches to it all. I dont know about you, but Circle has helped me tremendously. I can remember my first Circle, can you? Were you already a woman carrying pain, with difficult lived experiences tucked tightly under your belt, and words shoved down so far that your voice shook to speak them out loud the first time there was someone there truly listening? I was...
Now imagine you were raised to know the Culture of Circle. Imagine you knew that it was juicy, and safe, and good, for women to gather. Imagine you knew all along that there were places you could go when the world felt cold, difficult, too much - or even more damning; when you were made to feel like YOU were too much! It took me years to find Circle. I didn’t know there were spaces to hold me whilst I pulled myself apart and put myself together. I ached for spaces to feel tears and laughter, and friendship and sisterhood, and since I’ve found Circle, I’ve found my spiritual home.
This is why I’m advocating for a world that truly embraces Circle Culture. I want everyone to know their sacredness, and to be part of this movement that embeds girl-code and sisterhood into the hearts of Women and Girls. Growing up is tricky, being female is tricky, having a menstrual cycle can be tricky and figuring our places in the world can be so very daunting - not just for the young – for us all. So here is a space for all of that, for you, for her, for them; daughters, nieces and the young ones you are guardian for.
We’ll cover a range of themes along the way, from periods, to emotions, to building resilience, using our voices, advocating for ourselves, safety, consent, concerns about the world and the true essence of self-care. We will lean into the space and connect, use our head earned wisdom to guide the next generation, and listen to each other in service of the lives of the Women past, present and future. To me, Char, this work is sacred and I feel genuinely honourd to be offering this to you. Circles will be facilitated by me and co-created by the group and I am very excited to see what we can create.
Just before I close, I want to leave a quick note to say that I understand the sensitivities of gender diversity and that it isn’t as simple for some, as it is for others, to know where they belong. All I can say is - if this FEELS like the right space for you and a child in your care, then it is. If you want a chat to feel it out, please do get in touch.
